Anna Jaaniste is an artist currently based in Sydney, Australia. She is driven by her interest in the sensual processes of living – the physical and symbolic languages of the body as nature. Anna sees art as a way of life.
Anna believes in the importance of art projects that ignite new ways of connecting people with each other and the world, with imagination and ideas. She has over ten years experience facilitating creative programs in diverse settings, including educational institutions, community centres, public spaces, galleries and museums, and has worked with people with intellectual and physical disabilities, people suffering from mental illnesses, school students, senior citizens, and people from CALD backgrounds.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (First Class Hons, Sculpture Performance + Installation, SCA, 2006) and a Diploma in Education (Secondary Visual Arts, Newcastle Uni, 2003). She is currently undertaking Masters by Research in Visual Arts at Charles Darwin University.
